Despite an exhaustive search for leads in the provinces affected areas, authorities have decided not to pursue criminal proceedings, leaving unanswered questions for the local community.
HALIFAX - The Nova Scotia government has opted against laying charges in relation to the origins of a 2023 wildfire in the western suburbs of Halifax.
The 2023 Upper Tantallon and Hammonds Plains wildfires consumed 969 hectares, destroyed 151 homes, and displaced 16,000 people at one point.
