RCMP officers have visited a British Columbia ostrich farm where protesters are frantically trying to block the planned cull of around 400 birds mandated by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. With potential arrests looming, authorities are strutting in readiness to tame the feathered fiasco.
The CFIA has said that the cull is necessary to protect both animal and human health, and that the ‘humane depopulation and disposal’ of the birds will proceed
